In keeping with our mission, Florida Stage's Playwright-in-Residence Andrew Rosendorf is mentoring five local young playwrights. An exhibition of their work will be performed on May 17, 2011 at 7:00 p.m.

These select students are engaging in ongoing dialogues with their mentor, Andrew Rosendorf, as well as professional playwrights and artists, over the course of eight months. These young authors are being challenged to stretch their imagination and creativity - finding new landscapes for their storytelling. Upon completion of the program, the students will be involved in the rehearsal and presentation of their work, which will be performed by professional actors.

This is a program unlike any other in South Florida. We hope you will join us for a night of visionary art as we showcase the future of American theatre.

For more information on the Florida Stage Young Playwrights Mentor Lab program, contact Andrew Rosendorf at (561) 515-6356 or e-mail
